45th Anniversary Fundraiser

Once a donation has been received through one of the respective channels listed above, it will be promptly routed to a secure Tulane EMS Alumni Association bank account for safe keeping.

From there, funds will be stored for future use determined by the TEMSAA Executive Board, often in partnership with representatives from Tulane EMS leadership and the Tulane EMS Director of Operations.

Funds donated directly to the Tulane EMS Alumni Association are separate and inaccessible to entities affiliated with Tulane University, including but not limited to the Tulane University Adminstation, Tulane University Campus Health, Tulane University Undergraduate Student Government. This allows all donations to be fully available for disbursement at the discretion of TEMSAA and not be redirected, reallocated, or otherwise harnessed by outside bodies.

Donations provided to TEMSAA are independent of the Tulane EMS annual budget provisioned by Tulane University Campus Health and according administration for operating. All funds provisioned by TEMSAA are supplementary for the advancement of membership, alumni, and community-based initiatives.

Monetary donations to the Tulane EMS Alumni Association will be used exclusively for the advancement of Tulane EMS as determined by the TEMSAA Executive Board, guided by input and/or requests made by current Tulane EMS leadership and the Tulane EMS Director of Operations.

These may include, but are not limited to: scholarships, educational materials, training equipment, and special events.

Donors may request that their donation go to a specific activity, event, or cause at the time of donation. If your are interested in contributing to a specific cause within Tulane EMS, please contact the Tulane EMS Alumni Association directly, and we will work with you to fulfill this request.

The Tulane EMS Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3), meaning that all money donated to the Alumni Association goes directly to supporting Tulane EMS and activities related to the alumni association. No money is kept for profit or used to pay individual members, as all members of the TEMSAA Executive Board and TEMSAA Committees are volunteers who are not compensated for their time.

Defined by the IRS, “The exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3) are charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and preventing cruelty to children or animals. While direct monetary donations to the Tulane EMS Alumni Association are the best way to support our endeavors, there are many alternative avenues by which alumni and other donors may help advance our support for Tulane EMS.
